“Date nights can happen a lot more often now.”
Our new home is two blocks from the 29th Entertainment District, so date nights can happen a lot more often now. We’ll walk over there for dinner or a movie. And this may not sound very romantic, but sometimes we’ll split up for an hour or so – I’ll geek out over the Apple Store while Brecke goes to Sephora. But it suits us. When your first date was 25 years ago, date night can be whatever you want it to be.
“Our favorite place to be is home”
When your husband is off consulting in LA while you’re in Southeast Asia tracking down antique beads for your jewelry business, keeping up with a 3,300-sq-ft home in the suburbs gets a little insane. Now that we’re at The Peloton, there’s no lawn to mow and no snow to shovel. So we can take off to wherever at a moment’s notice. But with all the amenities we have right here, we’ve discovered that our favorite place to be is home.
“I can have just as much fun if I stay in.”
I’m pretty busy working toward my PhD at CU, so I like to be able to relax at home. The Peloton Community Center has a pool table, card tables, shuffleboard, and a 22-seat private movie theater. We’ve had great football parties – an awesome way to meet all the new people who just moved in. I still love to go out, but now I can have just as much fun if I stay in.
“The Peloton’s private great room is perfect for girls’ nights.”
How many condos come with an instant network of friends? There are so many great places to hang out at The Peloton that striking up a conversation with your neighbors is easy. The Peloton’s private great room is perfect for girls’ nights. We can have dinner and chat around the fireplace or on the terrace. And on days when I’m sick of studying in my living room – I’m in the middle of a career change – I’ll bring a stack of books over to the pool, enjoy the view and a nice little bit of distraction.
“It’s a short bike ride to work.”
It’s ironic since I’m from Detroit, but I use my car as little as possible. Living at The Peloton, it’s a short bike ride to work at CU or to grab takeout at 29th Street Entertainment District. My typical Saturday begins with a ride on the Creek Path, just outside my door. Sometimes I wonder why I even still have a car. Maybe because I’m from Detroit.
“…feels like a little piece of New York City”
My new loft feels like a little piece of New York City, where I used to live. The view from my balcony is of the plaza, this is a great gathering space where we have a fountain, a Pilates Studio and even a Cafe. As a writer, it’s important to be inspired by my surroundings. So it’s perfect to have a place this close, where I can bump into a neighbor, get that inspiration, or at least some good chai.
“watch the sunset and enjoy a bottle of wine”
I sell wine for a living, but I’m not big on the pretentious wine thing. Give me some friends, a decent shiraz and I’m happy. I like things simple. And that’s why I love The Peloton. I can entertain a few people – or a lot of people – without needing a big sprawling house. We just head up to the rooftop pool, watch the sunset and enjoy a bottle of wine. Maybe two.
“The idea of simplicity and downsizing into an elegant way of life”
Lifestyle is very important to me. As a matter of fact, I have become increasingly dissatisfied with having to use my car to go everywhere, which leaves me feeling disconnected from the heart of a community. The Peloton is an integrated living system. It’s on the Boulder Creek path and within walking distance to the 29th Street Entertainment District and its restaurants, boutiques and other urban delights. The idea of simplicity and downsizing into an elegant way of life is nothing short of a huge celebration.
“The Peloton is the total package.”
My wife and I live in Kansas City where we compete in triathalons. Since we’ve always been active, we were considering a vacation home in a more favorable climate. Along with over 300 days of sunshine, Boulder offers immediate access to biking, running and swimming. And The Peloton is the ideal place to enjoy it all.
Since our son is attending the University of Denver, we can simply turn onto Foothills Parkway and be at the school within 30 minutes to cheer him on during his soccer games, or take him out to dinner.
Along with easy access to so many of the things we love, we also wanted a new home with very little maintenance and, of course, a view of the mountains. The Community Center and athletic complex perfectly suit our social interests and active lifestyle. The Peloton is the total package. We love it!
“…looking for a long-term investment for our family”
My husband and I were looking for a long-term investment for our family in Boulder. However, we were unable to find a residence that met our affordability, amenities, location and style requirements—until we found The Peloton. It has everything we could have hoped for and more. In fact, The Peloton offers the best amenities any Boulder residential community has to offer—especially the rooftop pool!
The location offers easy access to the Pearl Street Mall, the University of Colorado, shopping and dining at the 29th Street Entertainment District and commuting to Denver. In my opinion, The Peloton represents the best in “urban living” while maintaining a community feeling. The Peloton has planned several meet-and-greet parties for owners throughout the building phase so neighbors get to know one another, which I think is just great.
The Peloton staff is friendly and delivers excellent service, which made our purchase decision an easy one. We were even able to get a tour of the property and Community Center by one of the builders. We are so excited. We know this is the best long-term investment we could have made for our family.
“The view of the city and the Flatirons will be absolutely spectacular.”
We are anxiously looking forward to a new chapter in our lives. Having lived throughout the United States, including Key West, we decided that Boulder is the Key West of Colorado. The eclectic mix and diversity of the people welcomes every individual to this beautiful city. Can’t wait to sit around the rooftop pool and enjoy a barbecue with our new friends and neighbors. The view of the city and the Flatirons will be absolutely spectacular. We are proud to call ourselves “Pelotonians,” pioneers of The Peloton.
“We wanted a simpler way of life, but filled with excitement.”
Why leave a 3,200-square-foot home in Devil’s Thumb for an 1,800-square-foot residence at The Peloton? We wanted a simpler way of life, but filled with excitement. No exterior maintenance, shoveling snow, raking leaves, gardening, gardening and more gardening. We were excited by all The Peloton has to offer: great floor plans and views, a spectacular Community Center, walking distance to the new 29th Street Entertainment District, biking to the Pearl Street Mall and mountain trails and the possibility of a new transit facility nearby. The Peloton is urban living at its finest. And because we love to travel, we can simply lock our front door and enjoy peace of mind while we’re away. We love Boulder, and we believe The Peloton and the area around it has incredible potential in the years to come.
